OC Submission Rules

When submitting an OC profile, the golden rule is this: treat the character as if they could be a canonical addition to the Soul series.

The following rules apply:
  • The group OC template MUST be used if you want your character to feature in the 'Original Character Profiles' folder. This template contains all the information needed about your character. Fields can be added, but not removed.
  • The character must be able to be created in at least one of the Soul series games that features the 'Create-A-Soul' option. However, any art submitted does not have to use this design - only the OC profile.
  • No God-modding - i.e. no-one can claim that their character (or weapon) is all-powerful and can overcome any other character - canonical or otherwise. Monsters (such as Lizardman, Necrid and Astaroth) are allowed, providing they have a decent explanation as to how they came into being.
  • Furthermore, no character can weild Soul Edge / Calibur / Embrace as a default weapon. The character can have the potential to wield any of these (as seen with canoncial characters in the series), but they must start out with their own standard weapon.
  • A screenshot of the character in their Soul series attire would be preferable, but not essential. For character screenshots, send a note to the club.
If there are any problems or queries about this list, please send a note to the club and your questions will be answered. Any deliberate and blatant breach of any of these rules will result in a ban from the club.

Hello all!

Despite everyone thinking that the Soul series might be dying off, it seems that there's a lot more to come!

The first announcement is Soulcalibur II HD Online! Out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Fall 2013, it is a high-definition remake of the original featuring new online gameplay, as well as both Heihachi and Spawn for both versions! Currently there's no version in development for a Nintendo console, but creators have hinted that the sales and general popularity of this release may change things.

Soulcalibur II HD Online trailer:…

The second is Soulcalibur: Lost Swords! In the same vein as Tekken Revolution, this will be a free-to-play game based on the model of Soulcalibur V. Focussed on single-player modes rather than online play, the game features more RPG elements such as loot and weapon customisation. The big reveal about this so far is that Sophitia is back in new HD glory! No release date has been given yet.

And that's it! Enjoy!

Awesome! Thanks for accepting my post. :)
I haven't played Soul Cal in such a long time, and I miss it.
I'm probably very rusty on the gameplay too. XD

Hey I wonder if anyone has ever cosplayed as their own OC? I figured that would
be an interesting idea if they haven't already. I wish I could get into it, but I can't afford to.Sweating a little...
Just an idea I'm throwing out there for any members here that could.

Sometimes for nostalgia sake, I used to watch every opening of the Soul series game from Soul edge onward, on you tube. It was always entertaining to see these characters in cinema action doing what they do best. :)

I once persuaded my cousin to cosplay as Spica, she doesn't take it well about the half-dressed lady D:

Spica is one of your OC's am I right?

That reminded me of an OC I had on SC5 who is
also scantily clad. Eh, the outfits are there, so I
have her wear it too. It's nice to add some spice to the
Calibur world. I mean why not, it's nice to dream a little. XD

Plus often times, some folks actually allow her character to throw them,
just so they can enjoy the brief animation. It depends, I fall for some of
the female fighter's throws too. Any guy would lose a match with a smile on
their face. Like it was totally worth it. At least once in awhile anyway. XD

Few scantily clad ladies isn't the problem, the main problem is if the game gets too many scantily clad outfit :(

Oh hey! It's been like forever since I last came here! XD
How is everyone doing? ...Tumbleweed Sweating a little...

So um...any possible updates or news for a SC6 on the way?

Well, comsidering Namco is trying for making money via crappy mobile apps, nope.
Tenchi8 Featured By Owner Apr 11, 2015  Hobbyist would be cool though. SC5 left quite a gap.

It could be that Nightmare has finally achieved his goal for destruction,
and rendered the SC universe as malfested. XD

The SC series had such a good thing going. It would be a shame if they
continue to spiral down like this. Metaphorically speaking, they strayed
away from the path of the spirit sword and fallen to the side of Soul Edge.
They lost sight of the vision at some point. No, I disagree!

It's wrong yes, but game like Lost Swords generates a large income without requiring great effort to make.
