OC Submission Rules

When submitting an OC profile, the golden rule is this: treat the character as if they could be a canonical addition to the Soul series.

The following rules apply:
  • The group OC template MUST be used if you want your character to feature in the 'Original Character Profiles' folder. This template contains all the information needed about your character. Fields can be added, but not removed.
  • The character must be able to be created in at least one of the Soul series games that features the 'Create-A-Soul' option. However, any art submitted does not have to use this design - only the OC profile.
  • No God-modding - i.e. no-one can claim that their character (or weapon) is all-powerful and can overcome any other character - canonical or otherwise. Monsters (such as Lizardman, Necrid and Astaroth) are allowed, providing they have a decent explanation as to how they came into being.
  • Furthermore, no character can weild Soul Edge / Calibur / Embrace as a default weapon. The character can have the potential to wield any of these (as seen with canoncial characters in the series), but they must start out with their own standard weapon.
  • A screenshot of the character in their Soul series attire would be preferable, but not essential. For character screenshots, send a note to the club.
If there are any problems or queries about this list, please send a note to the club and your questions will be answered. Any deliberate and blatant breach of any of these rules will result in a ban from the club.

Soul Fest

Hi all! Just a quick journal with some small updates.

For those who don't know, Soulcalibur V: Legendary Edition is now available on XBL and PSN. The game is download-only and contains the main game, Dampierre, the Collectors' Edition armour and a lot of(but not all) DLC content previously released as stand-alone content. Not sure who will be interested in this seeing as the Soul community has largely died down, but it might be a good way for people with the 'basic' Soulcalibur V content to get back into the game.

Also, I've had a note from ~BlueStar05 regarding The 4th Soul Fest. From what I gather, it is a Soulcalibur tournament set up by a couple of people who like to play Soulcalibur V competitively and have fun with players from all corners. Unfortunately it looks to be a PS3-only event, but for those who are interested in joining, take a look:

Hi! Just submitted three more chapters of my fanfic for all SC fans to enjoy! ^^

I still plan to draw a comic version of my fanfic, for those who may not be inclined to read literature online.

There's no limit as of yet - there's still a good few spaces to fill!

If you want a select icon of a character, just take a screenshot of yourcharacter in the creation mode facing the screen (zoom in as much as possible and shift the camera up so there is a tiny bit of space between the top of the head and the edge of the screen) and send me the pics (either as a deviation that I can download or as an email - my address is on my page I think). I'll then make the select icon for you to re-upload.

Please refer to the other select icons already up there to see how it's done. the blank select icon might give you some information too.
